Photoshop CS Color Problem

For some reason, Photoshop CS's colors will not display properly. I have virtually no grey scale, theyre all a purplish color. They'll stay this color in the program, but after I save it they will return to the greys. I am running on Windows XP, 1 GB ram, and nVidia GeForce 4 4400. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Photoshop CS Color Problem

I have had the same problem with a photograph that was taken in the snow and although it was color and was almost without color. It appeared to have a purple cast.
