Question

Photos From Mac To iPhone ???

Apr 30, 2012 2:20AM PDT

Hi

When trying to sync photos from my Mac to iPhone using iTunes, it keeps deleting the previous images in the iPhone Photo Library. Example 20 images already in Photo Library, then when i try to sync 20 more new images the images sync but the previous ones in iPhoto Library keep deleting.

I've tried creating new folders in both the iPhone and iTunes to avoid this but it doesn't seem possible.

The images are in a created folder in documents not iPhoto.

Answer
The answer could be because you are not keeping an Album

in iPhoto that contains ALL the pictures you want on the iPhone.
Although you sync the iPhone through iTunes, the iTunes app pulls the pictures from iPhoto.

In iPhoto, make sure you have an album for the iPhone. (Photos for iPhone, perhaps)
Put ALL the pictures you want on the iPhone, into that album.
Make sure iTunes is pointing at that album
Sync.

To remove photo's from the iPhone, just remove the photo from the album and sync.
The sync process will remove any photo that is on the iPhone that is NOT in the album.

Perhaps this is why you only the new images when you try to add more images.
