Photo transfer from PC to SD Memory card

Mar 29, 2008 5:47AM PDT

I need to copy pictures from my computers HD to a Fuji FinePix A820 camera with an SD memory card installed, to use these photos in my digital picture frame.
Appreciate any help!
Thank you, doc

That might not work.

Does your frame come with the usual USB cable to load the picture on with?

No, the picture frame does not come with a USB device.

Put the SD card in your laptop's SD card reader and put pictures on it.

I might have added that the picture frame has two (2) ports: one for
a Flash Drive, and one for a memory card

Possible solutions.

- Buy a USB flash card (cheap!), copy the pictures on it on your PC and use that.
- Buy an internal or external SD card reader, mount in/connect it to your PC, copy the pictures to it and use that in your frame.
- Borrow a USB stick or burn the pictures to DVD or CD, find a machine that supports SD cards (most modern laptops do) and use that to copy the pictures with.

Choose whatever method you like most.

PC to SD

Easy one.

Buy a card reader/writer for your computer.
Available at any store that sells digital cameras.
Your computer will see the card reader (with card inserted) as being another hard drive. You can read from or write to the card in the card reader.

If you have SDHC (SD High Capacity) cards, make sure that the card reader/writer can handle SDHC cards.

SD cards have a capacity up to and including 2 Gig.
SDHC cards have a capacity of 4 Gig to 32 Gig.

SD Memory Card
Jan 10, 2009 6:53AM PST

I am using a standard Desk Top computer using the Microsoft Windows XP home Edition operating system. My Photographs are stored on Kodak Easyshare, and Picasa programs.
I wish to transfer photographs from one or either of these systems onto an unused (new) SD memory card. My computer has an SD Port built into it. How do I do this ?
Thanks, PhilS.

If you insert a SD card into that SD port, it will show up in "My Computer" as a storage device.

You can use "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer" to drag and drop pictures to the SD card.
