Photo Storage While Traveling

Seeking recommendations for a DVD or Hard Drive photo storage device (pros/cons) to take on 3 week safari. I need to be able to download 8 MP raw files from compact flash card.

I use a Vosonics unit which I added a hard disk to. It works for weeks on one charge. It's the best solution I've used over the years.

When I realized that the cost of 2 X 2GB Compact Flash chips were more than an iPod Photo, I bought 2 1 GB chips and the iPod 60G for back up. Now I can listen to great tunes while I take pictures!
