Photo Printer

First let me say thanks for the input on the new digital cam; I bought the Canon A620 and it's great! It was a terrific purchase.
Now I'm looking for a photo printer under a $100.00 ... thoughts? Do any of them have the ability to print from 3.5 floppys?

Seems a little light.

Look at the print output to see if it's OK then be sure to figure out the per copy price. My nephew is not getting one since he's young and the per print price was more than the local stores and self service prints.

Photo Printer

I was looking in the $100.00 range, preferably a photo only printer but with the ability to print from 3.5 floppys as well as Memory Stick. Or should I buy a new PC printer that can print decent photos? Any thoughts on the Canon Selphy 710/810?

I have not heard of any printer that can print from a floppy.

Memory Stick -
If you mean the Sony Memory Stick (for Sony cameras), you can find printers that can read that.
But if you mean a "flash drive", I don't know of any printers that can read those.

I suggest you visit a store like "Staples" and take a look at what is available.

Photo Printer

I guess I'm mixing up/confusing things a bit. I have a Canon A620 that uses the memory chip. I'm seeking to print photos from that chip/card. I also have tons of floppy's containing pics from the old Sony Mavica. Maybe I need 2 diff printers ... a regular PC printer that will offer decent photo printing in addition to a photo printer that will print from the chip.

photo prints

If I had "tons of floppies with pictures" I would transfer them to a CD and let Costco print them.

I have never printed a photo from a memory card using my Epson Stylus Photo 785EPX because I usually retouch them in some way before printing. If you like them the way they are on the card, just take the card to Costco..Walmart...photo store...whatever.

Printing on photo paper on your own printer is not cheap.
