Photo preview in a Windows folder

Feb 15, 2004 8:58PM PST

I save all my scanned/downloaded pictures into a desktop folder with "View As A Web Page" enabled. By moving my pointer (I have one-click enabled) over a file name, Windows generated a preview of the photo on the left side under the file description. This worked for both jpg and bmp files. Recently it stopped giving me a preview of the jpgs, tho it still previews bmps. I can preview them with "Quick View", but it sure was handier before. I've searched Win98 Help and at the MS web site, but found nothing. And ideas?

eddiehellfire, Go to the link below and download previewfix.zip

http://www.geocities.com/plansdowne_ca/

Unzip it, double-click the .reg file, say yes to the prompt, restart your computer, and the problem should be corrected.

HTH,
Larry
