photo indexing

Can anyone suggest a good program for indexing a few thousand photos and slides I have recently scanned?

It works a treat. just have to figure out now how NOT to load every file on 240GB of HDs!!

Hi: I've got several thousand older family photos that i'd like to scan into my computer. Can anyone advise a quick, cheap way to do it that won' take me a 100 years!!! Thanks.
