Photo attachments in outlook express/XP Pro

Help. When I create an e-mail and insert a digital photo, it adds the attachment and I cannot see the photo in the body of the e-mail. Likewise, when I open a digital photo and click "send to" the e-mail puts the photo in the attachment block and not in the body of the e-mail. Now the rub, when the e-mail goes to the "outbox" or is received and viewed by the recepient, the attached photos are not only in the attachment area but are also displayed in the body of the e-mail. I would like to send photos as attachments and not opened automatically and displayed in the body of the e-mail...Please respond to my e-mail address. I use Outlook express and Windows XP Pro....Crete 3
