Question

Phone Unlocking?

Jan 25, 2015 10:31AM PST

Hello,
I am considering buying a Motorola Razr Maxx from a friend with verizon service. I want to unlock it so I can use it with tracfone service. I found this website: www.unlockriver.com Will that do what I need to do? I want to stick with Tracfone, as I don't want to pay a phone bill every month.
Thanks,
Tanner

I can guess that both that site and Tracfone have answered. So again, no.

Even Tracfone has a monthly fee if you do the math.

"The Droid Razr Maxx and Droid Razr Maxx HD are both LTE phones. They do not qualify for the CDMA BYOP program." - from somewhere on howardsforums.

Try the BYOP Tracfone page.

Verizon will unlock the phone for free, if it is paid for (contact complete, etc.)
