Phone stuck in boot logo menu

Oct 27, 2018 7:31PM PDT

I have a Samsung Galaxy s6, and for some reason, my phone wasn't letting me on the google play store, I was getting a "no connection" error. So I decided to look up some guides and I found one that said to try to go to the "etc" folder of my phone and edit the hosts file. That didn't end up working so I looked in the comments and the dude ended up telling me to make a new folder called "etc2" and transfer everything to there besides the host file. That ended up making every app on my phone crash and it was unusable so I had to restart it. After that, my phone would not power back on. I tried to launch it in recovery mode by holding Pwr + vol up + home, but all that does is make my phone restart. I believe all I need to do is transfer those files back to the original folder and it should work again, but I cant access any of my phones internal storage. Any tips or help would be appreciated

The XDA Forums for this one. Frankly I just factory reset but when that's blown we get the maker to re-flash the phone.

My wife's LG phone did the same thing and I did all the steps to recover it, but nothing did. Got her a Galaxy S7 now.
