Question

Phone stopped recognizing Micro SD card

Apr 1, 2014 7:43PM PDT

Hello friends,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 for about 2 and a half years with a SanDisk MicroSDHC 32GB 4.

Recently it started to unrecognize it and then recognize it again for a couple of weeks until it stopped recognizing it completely.
The phone says: "SD card blank or unsupported file system"and asks if i want to format it.

When i put it in other phones it was the same.

The data on the card is very important for me.

I send it to a recovery company, they told me that the card must be "Monolith" to recover all the data and that would cost an overstated 1000$.

Did someone had the same problem?
Is that a fair price?
Do you know if there is a place that can Monolith it in less price in the US?

Thank you guys!

Answer
Solid state data recovery is costing a lot today.

My last 32GB card was 20 bucks so are you aware that a backup is well, 20 USD?

OK, try the usual titles in the top of this forum and if not try drivesavers.com. 1K is about the norm for solid state device data retrieval. It's that hard.

Try WeRevoverData.com, they might have some low-cost approach in recovering your data depending on how damaged it is. But if it will already involve a sophisticated recovery procedure you would probably get it at a reasonable cost.

Hi, Iam sorry to hear that, but you can try 4Card Recovery. It is a freeware and able to recover various files as long as your data not changed.
Step 1. Download 4Card Recovery on the internet and install 4Card Recovery on your computer.
Step 2. Run it and select the files that you want to recover.
Step 3. Scan it by clicking the 'next' button and just need to wait for about ten minutes.
Step 4. Save the recovered files on other section.
Have a try.
