phone rings and PC boots up what's causing it

recently had new mobo fitted it's aVIA Technologies KM 266-8235 an since then everytime the house phone rings the PC boots up i have a cnxt v9x pci 56k modem,also when the pc is left switched off it boots up after several hours can you please help

to fix, start your computer and hit the DEL key repeatedly until bios comes up. search around till you find "boot on ring." highlight it, hit enter (or whatever your bios needs to be operated) and disable. hit escape, save changes and exit. --fj
