Philips Freevents x54

by lindavdriet / October 9, 2009 9:34 PM PDT

My x54 has been having screen problems. First the color went bad, I upgraded the drivers NVIDIA GEFORCE GO 7400 and it worked well again for a while, and started same problem again. I connected it to a tv and on tv worked fine. Then a few days ago when I switched on the laptop just a black screen. When I connect it to tv it does not seem to recognise the laptop. I have tried to start and safe mode, nothing, as well as using th fn keys. Can anyone help me please?

It covers some areas of laptop repairs. Your machine's issues sound as if the machine works but may have some OS driver or software issue. for those I know in the shop that if we can't fix those in 15 minutes we proceed to the full restore with the factory restore media. If that fails then we fix that with new drives or mainboard.

To use the top 2 posts in this forum to see what is involved in laptop repair and then I commented about drivers and the OS.

I can't find where I wrote to take it to a repair shop. Remember these are discussion forums.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
