Phantom Palm App

May 31, 2005 10:25AM PDT

I have a Tungsten E. Every so often a application called Acro something or other appears on my home screen then as mysteriously as it came, it disappears. It has an icon with a blue circle and what looks like a stylus. When I tap on it I get an error message saying that the application cannot be run because of a system error then takes me to the Prefs screen. What is this thing? Does anybody have the same problem? How do I get it functioning?

I found this when I Googled it. I have been wondering the same thing. On my Palm it is a hand with a pointer in it. It is labeled Acro Sign. Mine comes up with a blank screen when I click on it. Then you can draw on the screen. What purpose this all serves is what brought me here. When I click on the info at the top of that screen, it gets me an Adobe Acrobat version 2 message. But I would like to know what it is for also.

What Acrobat Reader and PDF (files) are for is common knowledge but do use google.com to learn more if this is not enough explanation.
