Question

Phantom HDD storage

May 2, 2015 2:21PM PDT

I'm not sure how to link an image to confirm but currently my computer says I'm using 250 GB when I'm only using 140, I have an old system with limited space so this is quite the issue for me. I suspected it was a form of corruption at first; however, when I defragmented my disk everything went off without a hitch, no error from the application nor any issues with the files it relocated. Is there anything short of buying a new internal hard drive that might solve this problem? I used WinDirStat to confirm that that files i have accessable add up to 140 GB and the system hard drive check on boot never finishes so that's out, which is why I suspected corruption at first. First time user. I'd really appreciate any help I could get.
