...replacing the CMOS battery ["BIOS" battery]...
I have read many other posts about system clocks losing time--for me the system appears to lose time whenever the computer goes idle or turns off. I have a VAIO VGN-TXN27N, just updated from Vista Business to Windows 7 Professional, but the clock issue has not been resolved. This has been a persistent problem ever since the computer was purchased, and no updates have resolved the issue.
Is there a solution which is more permanent than simply making the internet time sync more often? The time does sync properly when I do it manually, but it's really annoying to have to do this every time I come back to the computer!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
