So we keep more than one account so we can do the repair when we are not on the other account. Imagine that.

I have a collection of magazines in a large number of .cbr and .cbz archives which I have been opening with Stuffit Expander 15. Sometimes, in no apparent pattern, they produce .jpg files which I am unable to open because of permissions restrictions. Furthermore, I'm unable to reset the permissions in the GetInfo box.
The next time I boot up, they open perfectly.
I've repaired permissions on the HD in Disk Utility, so what could be happening?
