permissions problem w/ website

Sep 21, 2008 12:55PM PDT

I'm moving last year's content from an updated website to a folder called "2007" in the "public_html" folder. I've set the permissions of that folder, via Fugu (an ftp program for Macs) so that Owner, Group & Others can read & execute, and Owner can write (0755). I've set the permissions of every single html file and image inside the folder to the same, including the CSS file. After all of this, I got the pages to show up on the server in that path w/o giving me any errors, but *none* of the images will show up.

There is a link on this year's site to last year's site (it's an event) for a reason I won't go into. I do need these pages to show up in their entirety, including the images. What am I doing wrong?

All of these pages and images also exist in the "public_html" folder, and they show up fine. Why is it that the images in "public_html/images/" show up, but not the ones in "public_html/2007/images"? Everything in the "2007" folder is perfectly mirrored to the "public_html" folder.

Any help greatly appreciated! This is driving me nuts. I have tried many different permissions.

It looks like it was a problem w/ the FTP program I'm using. I'd set the permissions, and hit "apply," but I realized after going back to the folders that the permissions kept changing back to the original ones (owner read-only). I restarted the program and managed to get it to behave. So far it seems to be working...
