Some of my old apps won't play along with libraries so I go direct to the folder.

Hi guys; John B from Solihull, England.
I've had a recurring problem with accessing any of the library folders in W7 for a while now, and there doesn't seem to be any way out of it apart from saving what I can and reformatting.
Subfolders are shown as 'locked' on the menu bar, and access is denied, even though I created some of them myself as Admin; going into folder properties > advanced it shows 'deny' under the 'everyone' tab, but when I attempt to remove that entry, it re-instates itself as soon as I hit the 'apply' button. Removing the other clients - 'JB/PC', 'Admin' has a similar result; the setup was fine for nearly a year before this started happening, but this is now the third time I've had this problem with Seven - anyone any ideas as to what's causing this glitch, and how to correct it?
