Good morning,

I have a macbook os x 10.6.8 and have been flummoxed by permission details on some pictures that come to me through email (I use Outlook for Mack 2011 v. 14.3.5). When I try to save pictures that open in 'preview' it will not let me 'save as' and file the picture elsewhere. I get a warning that I don't have permission.

I went so far as to restart my puter from the OS x disc to make sure I had permissions for everything to try to stop this annoyance. I could not find out how to get to the keychain access from the start up disc.

However, I did go to the keychain thing through the finder and changed anything that was locked to unlock. There is no 'ok' to hit to make sure it will stay that way.

Would you please give me very detailed instructions on how to do this? You've helped me many times before and I'm not much better at this computer stuff than I was then.

Thank you so much,

Rita

Hey there.

It seems you're not the only one having this issue and after a quick Google search, I stumbled upon this https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3939818?start=0&tstart=0

You could try some of the different solutions offered there. One of the replies even gives pretty detailed instructions for one of the solutions offered (5th post).

I hope this helps!
