Question

Perfect laptop for a college student

Sep 10, 2015 8:09AM PDT

Hey everyone,
Yet again I'm starting another semester at my college and I believe it's time to get a new laptop. I don't want to spend $1000 on a new laptop so I put my budget at about $700 or less if possible. I've been looking around for quite a while and I have no clue as to what I would need. I don't really like the books because the keyboard are either too small or the screens are touch. I just want a standard laptop with about a 13" screen and a decent processor. Dell and Asus really appeal to me and I've never liked apple products, but What I really need is a laptop with an extended battery life. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I like what CNET picked for the XPS 13 inch non-touch but it blew past your budget.

There are folk that want a Lexus for a Ford price but the non-Touch XPS 13 is my choice after the MacBook Air.

You may want to look at the Surface Pro.

My nephew has one and loves it. The spring term last year he studied abroad in Europe and took it with him. He's an Economics major.
