The is the PC Hardware forum and you didn't write a word concerning your hardware issue.

If this is software only, try a software forum or the author of the package.

I would think

that the remote computer has sufficient security to disallow your entry. Great tech at the other end.

Since you give no information regarding your computer or the remote one, and since you appear to NOT be able to get into the remote one, I have to assume that you aren't the one who set up the remote computer and therefore you are attempting to do something you aren't supposed to be doing in the first place.

This identical thread in the XP Forum has been locked I would think because it appears you want help to hack or spy on somebody else's computer, and CNET doesn't advocate this type of practice. So this thread will also be locked soon, giving you a chance to explain your actions before help will be given to you.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
