Pepsi

Has anybody seen the new ad with the young girl proclaiming she was one prosecuted for downloading music? It is an intro to advertise a new give away of free music. Well anyway , what did you think? It did get my attention but... well what did you think?

I thought it was clever/cute. Tweaking the nose of the RIAA isn't going to cost you points with anyone and will get the attention of the young demographic they're after.

She's an unusual looking girl. I wonder if she's unusually short. Her body proportions seem out of the norm. Not that it matters, I just noticed it the other day.

Rick, I personally felt that it gave the impression that what she had done was OK . And it isn't.

Between Pepsi and iTunes. Basically, Pepsi is paying for one free download. I haven't tried it. I use MusicNOW. 99 cents a song or $9.99 for the entire album. BTW - what happened to the "cent" symbol on the keyboard? Shows how observant I am Happy

I was actually making a joke

I was good naturedly making fun of her NY accent and the way shes intanet instead of internet.

Now please excuse me while I go practice my comedy because I obviously need some. Practice that is, I need practice.

Comedic nuances sometimes fall flat here in the forum. Sarchasm doesn't have the same impact in print. I've had to apologize more than once for a failed attempt. Happy

Hi, Rick.

I got your joke -- it reminded me of an exchange I saw on a BBS one time ("BBS" shows how long ago it was!). Someone had posted the famous Ogden Nash poem:
The one-l lama,
He's a priest;
The two-l llama,
He's a beast.
And I will bet
A silk pajama
There isn't any
Three-l lllama.

Some wag responded "I'm from Boston, and we have them frequently -- any time more than two fire companies are needed at a fire!"
