Question

People App doesn't connect to the desired facebook acc

Sep 2, 2013 1:05PM PDT

I have 2 different facebook accounts, when I click "Add an account" in People App for the first time, it connected to my first facebook account. Then I remove this one by going to the online setting, and completely remove this account. Now I want to add my second facebook account but everytime I choose connect to facebook, this app automatically connect to the old one?

Hi emodied,

I did an online search and found this to be a common issue with lot of users. Many of them were able to get this fixed just my uninstalling and re-installing People app. Its worth giving a shot. Please see People app for Windows: FAQ for more information: http://dell.to/174Didb

Good Luck.

Thanks and Regards,
Appu S

Keep in mind Microsoft is known for apps that do wonky things like this.

Review the removal steps at http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/20927-people-app-accounts-add-remove-windows-8-a.html

And keep in mind that "The People app is a Store app that is included by default in Windows 8. It helps to bring all your contacts together in one place." What this means is that it may not reflect what is in any facebook account but may pollute other accounts as it does its thing.

If you want a contact manager, I would never look at this one.
