General discussion

Pentium M or Pentium 4

Feb 25, 2005 12:50AM PST

I am about to buy a laptop to use it for my research work, i.e. MATLAB simulations etc. Could anyone please help me with which one is more proper for my heavy simulations: Pentium 4 or Pentium M. I appreciate your help.

I just bought a Dell Inpiron 6000, and I am a little disappointed. I thought that I was getting a good centrino notebook that could handle programs. I was wrong, I miss my P4 and I am taking this one back.
