I use my OCR software...

I haven't found any free PDF-to-Word (or Excel, OpenOffice, etc) utilities, but many OCR applications let you import a file and export to Word, which does nicely.

As John mentioned

You can use the scanner to scan the document to Word(I use Open Office).

I scan it as a rtf file and it scans nicely.

Thanks to all who posted suggestions.
I never even thought of scanning and then converting, that should do the trick...

Thanks again all............................

Not necesarily even scanning...

In reply to: Thanks everyone

Many OCR applications let you import a file and have it converted to a Word document so you don't have to print it if it's already in digital form. That is, in essence, what the software is doing anyway...initially scans as a JPG into the temp directory and then converts to Word. Just less paper waste.
