Hi,
I'm looking for a cheap pda for reading books on so should be able to handle text files upto 500kb this is all i want to do i don't need a camera, mp3 player etc does anyone have any suggestions? i am in the uk and don't want to use ebay etc.

That should narrow the list of PDAs.

At 500K per book, all PDAs today have well past 2MB so that's not an issue. What is an issue is if the book is on Palm or PocketPC.

Hi,
they are plain text files i am running linux and don't have any type of pda or handheld at the moment the books were d/led from project gutenberg.

The stock PalmOS notepad is limited to 4KB per note. There are a few bazillion replacements so it's only an issue for those that don't find a replacement.
