Question

PCI simple communication controller - no driver

Jul 27, 2014 3:38AM PDT

I just have minted a pc. All works fine. The only issue is that after i have installed drivers for mobo (Asus H97-Plus), Device Manager is still saying that "pci simple communication controller" doesn't have driver. The only PCI card is installed is a Video card (Gigabyte GFX 770).
I've installed new drivers for Chipset, etc (from ASUS website), and it doesn't help.
Anyone knows what might be the solution?
Thank you!

Could be a few different things.

But let's be clear here this one is all over the web. But that's not good enough, that is, while we know it's a driver issue why not go over the install plan again and see what you missed? As if it's all according to Asus then why not return it as unfit to market? I mean, Microsoft, Asus and others have had decades to fix this.
