PCI EXPRESS ERROR

Hello all
I am new in this forum . I am having a serious problem with my Hardware . Please feel free to answer with detail as i am a total noob in pc related probs

INTEL Pentium DUAL CPU
E2140 @ 1.60 GHz
0.99 GB of RAM
INTEL ON BOARD 82945G
HARD DISK 80 GB SATA

Prob : I slotted a GF XFX 8500 GT in my motherboard . But the Monitor Display is blank on bootup . Please help me what to do to let my 8500 GT work . Thank you

Re: blank monitor

Some things you didn't tell.
1. Did you install the drivers for the new card?
2. Did you go into the BIOS setup to disable the old on board card (that's not always automatically)?
3. Did you connect the monitor to the new card? Or is it still on the old VGA port (that might be automatically disabled)?

Only putting the card in a slot and doing nothing else isn't enough.

Your subject line is "PCI Express error". Yet in your post there's no mention of PCI Express, nor of any error message. Just of a blank screen.

I am a noob . Yes this is a PCI error as the New graphics card that i want to place in my motherboard is PCI EXPRESS .
1. I dont have the new drivers for the new graphics card . please send me a link where i can download the new drivers .
2. No i didnot and dont even know how to do it . My friend suggested me that it is always automatic . Please tell me how to do the BIOS Setup .
3. Yes i connected the monitor to the new card but it was blank and it also showed blank when i connected to the internal Graphics card
P.S - when i connected to the internal Graphics card the new card was also attached to the motherboard . Please solve the following probs . Thank you for Co-operation .
