Question

PCI-E 6 Pin to 8 Pin Adapter

Apr 3, 2017 10:09PM PDT

I bought a Gigabyte RX 480 G1 Gaming 4G GPU. It comes with a 8 Pin PCI-E slot. But my 450 watt psu has only a 6 pin pci-e cable that can provide 25 amps/ 300 watts through +12v rail. I have a PCI-E 6 pin to 8pin adapter that came with my previous gpu (MSI GTX 960 gaming 2G). Can i use it to power the RX 480?
