PCI Driver Problem

I have formated & reloaded my system several times yet i keep getting an error message stating that pci.sys file is missing or corrupted. I used the same installation disk on another system & got thru fine with it. What could be the possible problem & is there a solution to it?
I am currently running Win XP Pro.

The usual.

Microsoft does not fetch, install or note that we need to install MOTHERBOARD DRIVERS. That's something Microsoft expects the person installing the OS to install.

Argh!! ready to shoot my p.c.

if xp pro won't boot on installation, how can updated motherboard drivers be installed (bless bills heart)?

If XP Pro CD doesn't boot we fix that issue first.

But we can't tackle that due to missing details. Are you seeing this note?
