(NT) (NT) Most likely? You didn't install a modem driver.

You didn't tell if you use the modem.

Many don't so it will have no effect. In fact I remove the modem and give it away.

Quite a few google hits for this error reference a modem. But I've also seen the Via 4 in 1 drivers mentioned.

I would advice you have a look in Device Manager to see if there are any devices with an error, then reinstall those drivers. It wouldn't harm to reinstall the motherboard drivers that came with the machine.

But this problem might be part of a bigger issue that also results in the error message from your BIOS in your other post. Then a bigger repair scheme might be needed.

1. The article [Q182628] explains the settings Windows uses when programming IRQ steering and the computer's basic input/output system (BIOS) PCI bus IRQ steering relationship. Also progress to the topic "Description of PCI Bus IRQ Steering", article Q182604.

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
