PCB?

Feb 18, 2004 5:05AM PST

I have a Pcchips m830lr motherboard. I want to update the bios, but there are 3 "pcb" versions on their website. 1.1, 3.0 and 5.0. Can I use any bios, and if not, how do I tell which board I have?

I would have looked, but you didn't tell us where.

1. There is no 830LR listed.

2. For the 830L models, look closely. ONLY TWO ROMS!
M830L V3.1b
021029s.rom
Release Note
256K
M830L V1.1
021029s.rom
Release Note
256K
M830L V5.0
030811s.rom
Release Note
243KB

For your the choice is now 021029s.rom or 030811s.rom.

So for now, you open the case, get out the flashlight and hunt down the PCB version.
