Question

PC won't let me use both my headphones for sound and the mic

My PC has 2 jacks. One with a mic picture, one with headphones. When I plug it in to either one. It gives me the option for the headphones or the mic. I want to use both. I play rocket league and would like to be in communication with my teammate while I play but also hear what they say and hear the surrounding game.
The headset I plug in does have a mic built in the wire.
If anyone knows how I could get both the mic and the headphones to work when I plug the headset in that would be appreciated. I have a Cyberpowerpc and am running Windows 10 I believe.

Many such headsets have an adapter. Did you check your included cabling?

Hope this helps.

Answer
You need an adapter

As others have said, you need to buy, if not included, an adapter that is a splitter cable: female to 2 male mic / audio, so you can use the microphone and audio at the same time. Happy
