PC 2 TV help still needed

Even though the original poster fixed his issue. I am still at a scenario where my newer files loaded in my shared folder are not showing through the media player. How do I refresh my TV so that it shows a current listing of the files I am trying to access?

Hi zthorne813,

So I'm going to run on the assumption that you're using DLNA, as Wiselink wouldn't make sense with your description. So here's the short answer: you don't need to refresh your TV; you need to refresh the directory in whatever software you're using to share files on your PC over DLNA.

So here's a longer answer for those who are interested: DLNA streams information to your TV. A cache is stored for faster access times, but that cache is wiped when you navigate around inside the file structure. So whatever you're seeing on the TV is what your TV is seeing from the DLNA server. So this means the directory inside of your DLNA software is out-of-date. How do you get this to update? It depends upon the software. So which software are you using?
