PC to Stereo

Nov 24, 2005 3:21PM PST

Hi,
I've been looking at getting a new shelf stereo system. One of the features is "USB input for connection to you PC". I was wondering how, why that works? I know you can hook up essentially anything with an audio out to the auxillary input of a stereo... but how does a hook up using usb work?
Thanks.

I thought the question was fairly generic and not a lot of information would be needed (true, as my question answered on another board). But if you have any more information for me that desperately requires system info, let me know.
