PC Streaming with BD-P1600

by spanthegnome / October 1, 2009 1:02 PM PDT

Everything I read even on the website says it can be done. yet there is no documentation to tell me how for the 1600. I was told then when on the menu you left so no disc is highlighted and hit the red button on my controller at the bottom. well that does nothing. I know the wireless works cause I can watch netflix. So how do I make pc streaming work on my bluray. I did all he folder sharing already.

I made a bad assumption that the online manuals for the 1600 and 3600 were the same.
I see now, like you said there is no information about PC Streaming in the 1600 manual.

That said I just helped a friend install a Samsung TV and a 1600 just a few days ago and I could have sworn I saw the red ?A? button at the bottom of the screen as you were told. I will call him and have him check??

Dang been trying all day, I was busy, he was busy, I was busy, now waiting on him to get home again.

Well the good news is you are not crazy
The bad news is that my friend doesn?t have the ?A? Network search button on his main menu!
He is currently on v1.03 as I told him to hold off on updates until things settle down.

At this point I would see if you can send an email to the CNET editor that reviewed the 1600 and stated that it can do pc streaming.
I would say contact Samsung but well? you can see how that went for a lot of people.

I?ll post if I find anything more on this as now my friend is wondering about it as well?..

I am having the same issue with my 1600. I am wondering if anyone has gotten a hold of CNET or Samsung and received a useful explanation?

Thanks

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
