Back in 2015 I built a custom PC and it worked pretty well for a long time. I really had no issues, maybe a very rare crash once in a blue moon, maybe 3 or 4 in almost 2 years. I'm not sure if this issue came up when I moved, or before i moved, its a close timeline, so I can't rule out some kind of hardware connection issue.
When I start my PC after having it off for a longer period of time (say a few hours), the PC crashes. The crash code varies, usually some kind of "exception not handled" or "system thread not handled". However, when I turn it on right after it crashes, or within a shorter period of time, it boots up just fine. This happens almost every time i try to boot it up.
It seems like a hardware issue to me, maybe something with the power unit? I've tried some software and store solutions, but haven gotten anything.
I'd appreciate any help. Thank you!
