Pc Share Manager Must be on C:?

Feb 2, 2009 12:30PM PST

Alright I had everything working once before when i still had my media on the c: drive. just added a 1TB hard drive(which is the kHappy and transferred my media over there. Pointed the software to find it and I keep getting the "There is no photo/video/music file in selected device" Now I thought i read something about changing the drive letter but my device/disc manager keeps hanging on me. Im running vista.

Also is it possible just to run the samsung ln52a750 as just a regular media extender?

thanks

On C:
Feb 2, 2009 2:03PM PST

brokenapostle,

I believe that it has to be on the C:, and the drive must be formatted in Fat32/16 format.

There is a lot of discussion on this in the PC Share discussion pinned to the top of the threads on the first page.

FAT32/NTFS

Thanks for the reply HDTech
ok but i know for sure that my c: drive is formatted in ntfs so I'm still at a loss. I dont understand why it would be setup to only run media off of c: that seems to a total waste, to the point of making it almost useless. Any help would greatly appreciated. Also I read that post regarding mkv support and heres my quote:

"Native mkv support would make this one of the greatest products out there, I've spent many hours hours trying to find a way to stream mkvs to my LN52a750."

Thanks for your help in advance

DNLA Thread

There is a DNLA thread that I've pinned to the top of the boards for this specific issue. There are some network wizards that know even more than I do about this particular application.

Check it out - there are a few tips in there that I'd never have thought of.
