For the time, PC Share Manager is only for Windows XP and Vista. I can't speak to why it would or wouldn't work with other servers.
To be honest, I had two reasons for buying a le32b650 instead of a Panasonic :
-1- DLNA + wide support of movie formats
-2- Some reviews mentioned the B650 serie as the LCD's with the darkest black
I liked the idea of getting rid of my old Showcenter 200 in the living room (and so did my wife ... well, last weekend I placed it back, because of the folowing reasons:
- The B650's are very picky when it comes to DLNA servers, to be more precise it only functions well with Samsungs PC Share Manager.
- The PC Share Manager does not run under wine on linux, I managed to get some extra logging once and it complained about not being able to tune the Windows firewall ... why is that a reason for stopping ??
- The TV is very bad at scaling movies to normal (full screen) size. A lot of movies are shown with lots of black around it (yes I did tell the tv to show it as big as possible, not original size). My 4 years old Showcenter 200 does a better job here ...
My major problem right now is that I'm unable to watch movies from my Linux server, my B650 does play movies streamed by twonky4, but I can not use Pause, FFWD or REV ...
Can someone from Samsung maybe explain why the television behaves like this ?
