Tell me more. Did you replace all old heatsink compound, check the fans and what about the work (drivers) after you install W7?
W7 is fine but hard on users since Microsoft has never done the post install driver work for you. Microsoft expects us to know this and I don't own your PC so I can't be specific on the drivers except to write you need to do this along with keeping the machine clean and replacing old compound and bad fans.
-> About those drives. I've run into folk that can't wipe a drive. That is, they call the drive bad if they can't format it. Tell more.
I have a gigabyte motherboard GA-8I865GM-775 with Intel Pentium D processor with 3gb ram and hardisk of 160 which I recently purchased because my old hardisk kept on crashing after I installed windows 7, when I got the new hardisk i installed the windows7 but it keeps on restarting when I shut it down. I unticked the automatic restart option after system crash. But it works for three days then I get the blue screen of death again hardware issue . I format the hardive install a new one it restarts again each time I have to turn it off from the mains. But it works for three to four days again i get blue screen and after that the hardisk doesn't even work I get the blue screen error everytime I try to format the drive and reinstall windows 7.
I lost two hardisk because of this and gud loads of data in my hard drive. I have purchased a new drive but have installed it yet because can't take the risk again. Pls suggest something so that I fix this issue permanently I tried everything possible as it says on Google and YouTube but nothing works.
