Urbantus,

Whenever posting questions on these forums, please give us as much information as possible. The operating system, processor speed, brand name of the computer (if there is one), age of the computer, and any other information is always helpful. The more information you give us, the better informed our answer will be.

A new power supply would certainly be a good place to start, but if you've had issues with the case fan, and now the CPU fan, you may have a fair amount of heat damage. You almost certainly will also need to replace the fans. It sounds like the computer has some age on it, and unless you want to troubleshoot each part, one at a time, you might consider getting/building a new machine from scratch.

Hope this helps.

Urbantus,

I'd suggest starting with a replacement power supply...I recently saw a 400 watt "on sale" for $14.95. It just might get things up and running again.

Your choice...

Hope this helps.
