Invest $50 in a UPS (battery backup) with AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation). You can get them for around $50. That should solve your problem and add life to your computer in the process.
Hi. I just bought a new CPU last November . Self assembled. Recently I notice that my pc monitor screen black out momentarily for 2 seconds when another switch or electronic device eg tv is being turned on. It only happens sometimes. The funny thing is my CPU did not shut down. I can still hear sounds playing in the speakers , and my monitor screen just black out not shut down. The light indicates it is still turn on.
I read on other forums that this is due to voltage surge or drops which results in this.
What should I do ? Much appreciation.
