pc keyboard rechargeable?

Aug 15, 2006 7:14AM PDT

I'm looking for a specific keyboard. I liked the mx1000 keyboard but I don't know how long the batteries will last.

Does a wireless keyboard exist with some type of lithium ion battery that can be recharged? This is for a desktop pc.

I meant 5000

I'm sorry. I meant the 5000 series. The one with the keyboard. I was wondering how long the keyboard last with just AA batteries.

...that Bob provided has hundreds of sites to read, but one will be enough.

Wireless keyboards from good manufacturers allow batteries to last for months. The key presses are short blips of power, while a wireless mouse is constantly sending it's position, which uses it's power far more.

My old Logitech (original wireless desktop) needs the KB batteries recharged about twice a year, and the mouse about 5 times. Which is why modern wireless mice (especially LED optical versions) have docking stations to keep their batteries fully charged.
