That's a fine effort, but for me means nothing. Contact the software's author/vendor and see if it runs under Windows ME. Some don't.
If I was to tackle this on my machine, I'd run the usual Anti-Parasite Suite of Adaware, Spypot, Stinger, Cwshredder and Housecall (all free at http://www.spychecker.com/topdownloads.html ) then review Optimizing Windows at http://www.aumha.org/articles.htm
Remember that many install firewalls, popup stoppers or other gimmicks that interfere with other software. Only you know the state of your machine.

I am trying to install an interactive cd-rom titled "Medical insurance made easy" that came with a school textbook titled the same. A few seconds after the installation starts a message pops up stating that "install has caused a general protection fault". I also ran dr watson while installing and the message there states "pc-install has accessed memory improperly or encountered some non-specific error. I am able to install other programs from disk and have tried to install this with nav turned disabled.
