PC HArdware - External HDD

Sudden power loss and my HDD stopped being recognised. and then It took it off the laptop ...next day I connected and saw all my files but in few minutes .its blank.
The light flashes and usb recognised it like On Off on OFF in each second and I cann't see my HDD
What has happened to my HDD? Is still the data recoveable?

Have enough disk space on your local drive or another drive then see what RECUVA reports.

If the drive is USB powered be sure to use the cable it came with and DO NOT TRY THIS ON A LAPTOP UNDER BATTERY POWER. Be sure to try a new USB cable that has the Y configuration for more power.

Finally, externals are not safe enough for storage. Always backup what you can't lose.
