I'll write no. A game that "freezes" would need a lot more description of the issue and game. If it pauses and not a total lockup, that's one issue. A total lockup is typical on a lot of machines I see with overheated boxes and overtaxed power supplies. The problems are usually not one thing or the other and it takes a keen computer tech to set the machine up properly so it runs the game without locking up the machine.

Things that you can try:

1. Remove the case cover.
2. Have the usual 450 or larger Watt powser supply.
3. Reduce the FSB speed to 100 or 200 MHz.
4. Reduce the AGP rate to 1 or 2X.
