Pc Freezez after update IE From V.6 to V. 7 Windows XP Home

by Pat715 / January 19, 2007 4:22 AM PST

After installing Microsoft Recommended update ,in this case , IE 7 Pc froze more than a dozen times.I removed the update, but now I receive Error message just about every time I try to access any web page
"An Error occured in the script on this page line 6" (I use ATT Yahoo browser)
I'm not sure what to do.I checked in Add Remove programs and I dont see IE anymore. Are there other steps I should take?Is this even related to the update or coincidence? Thank you all.Pat

Hi and thank you for the reply.
I didn't think I was using any browsers.I had just finished installation of a wireless (D- Link) adapter when a window popped up
with "New Windows updates are ready for your computer" I clicked ok
and the rest you all know...
Today I received fewer Errors, but it is still very annoying.
Do I need to check the registry for any "leftover" IE V.7?
I was perfectly happy with ATT and IE V.6

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
