Question

PC fails to identify phone following Windows 10 Anniversary

Sep 3, 2017 8:12AM PDT

I've been using my win10 system from routine maintenance of my LG G2 smartphone.

Following MS extensive Anniversary Update, my pc stopped to identify my smartphone as a device' preventing me for any use of the pc for the phone.
I tried various suggestions, e.g., reinstall LG PC Suite, install ADBDrive, reinstall LG drivers, to no avail.

Is there anything I can do to solve this problem?

I have the LG G4

And it's fine after the update. But I don't recall which driver I used. Let's try drivers only this time.

There are 5 versions of the LG G2 so you either know which is yours or try all 5 at https://androidmtk.com/download-lg-usb-drivers

My LG G4 is only recognised in Windows 7, not at all in Windows 10, not even before the Anniversary update. Strange.

Get a bootable LINUX distro "LIVE DVD"

You can boot to it and access the phone. You can also install into a virtual system under windows and probably access the phone that way too.

Order one. Zorin and Mint very popular

Make your own "LIVE" DVD
