PC DVD Games - Problem with control

Just started playing CoD/MW2 - PC DVD version. I previously played MoH/Pacific Assault on DVD. In both games, using the mouse to turn, aim, etc, instead of stopping when I stop moving the mouse, the character continues to "float" a few more degrees so it takes several seconds to get the crosshairs on any target. I end up moving left & right little by little to get the target set. It's incredibly frustrating. CD-based games don't give me the same trouble. Am I missing something in the controls? Do I have to make an adjustment to my mouse sensitivity? Why can't I get it to stop where I want it to? Thanks! Brian

Would help loads if we knew what kind of mouse you are playing with; as some (ie: Logitech G5) require software to perform better for gaming, is it optical...laser...Microsoft...Razor?

Do you have this problem with anyother FPS games?
